The organ now in Christ Church Taney was the original organ in Christ Church Bray. When Bray's current organ was installed, this organ was moved to St. Paul's Bray where it remained for many years. When Kenneth Jones moved into St. Paul's (it was their workshop up until recently) the instrument was moved into storage and eventually in 1989 it was brought to Taney.
There was a previous Forster and Andrews organ in Taney but most of the pipework was discarded or used in other Jones projects.
The result was an 18 stop organ incorporating pipework from Telford, Forster & Andrews and (possibly) Kenneth Jones.
Some of the old casework remains the but the console is new. It is a lovely organ but it is a bit quiet and understated for the building.
The instrument is in the care of Stephen Adams (if you read this, Stephen, the swell-pedal isn't working properly!).
