The organ is placed in the back gallery of the Cathedral. It has three manuals of 61 notes each, and a pedal-board of 30 notes; the action is electric throughout. There is a full range of pistons and reversers, adjustable at the console.

The extension scheme is as follows:

  • The Pedal 32' is resultant and taken from the Pedal Open Diapason 16.
  • The Pedal Open Diapason 16 is extended to 44 notes to provide for the 32' and also for the Pedal Octave 8.
  • The Pedal Bourdon 16 and Bass Flute 8 are both taken from the Great 16'.
  • The Pedal Trumpet 16 is taken from the Swell Double Trumpet 16.
