St Mary's is a church of the Dominican order. The organ is located in the choir gallery at the back of the church, and is split between two cases at either side of the gallery. The console faces sideways across the gallery, and has two manuals and pedals; the action is electric. This instrument is heavily extended - just five ranks provide for every stop on the organ - and the result is an organ that is, at best, mediocre.

The extension scheme is as follows:

Open diapason rank:

  • Great Open Diapason 8, Principal 4, Fifteenth 2
  • Pedal Octave 8, Principal 4

Flute rank (enclosed):

  • Great Stopped Diapason 8, Nason Flute 4
  • Swell Lieblich Gedackt 8, Lieblich Flute 4, Nazard 2 2/3, Piccolo 2
  • Pedal Bourdon 16, Bass Flute 8, Flute 4

Salicional rank (enclosed):

  • Great Salicional 8, Twelfth 2 2/3
  • Swell Contra Salicional 16, Salicional 8, Fifteenth 2
  • Pedal Salicional 8

Geigen principal rank (enclosed):

  • Swell Geigen Principal 8, Gemshorn 4
