This magnificent organ was originally built by Gray and Davidson as a sizable three manual pneumatic-action organ.
The instrument was completely rebuilt in the 1960s, under the supervision of the then organist David Lee. The result was a two-manual, tracker action, neo-Baroque organ.
At the turn of the century, the parish decided to have the organ rebuilt again, this time on a much grander scale. The mechanical action was kept but the finished instrument was more akin to its original form. Trevor Crowe undertook the task of restoring, remodeling and rebuilding what is essentially a new instrument.
